Thanks

MSRP - $47,469

Subtract delivery allowance - $4750
Subtract employee price rebate - $5211
Subtract Costco rebate - $1000 (if you have Costco membership)
Subtract loyalty bonus - $750 (if you have a Ford vehicle currently registered)
Additional dealer discount - Someone on here posted that they got another $4250 off, but that was for a higher MSRP. Maybe able to get $3000 though on this truck.

End calculation - $47469-$4750-$5211-$1000-$750-$3000 = $32,758 + tax and dealer doc fees

The 56.5K - where is that written? Is it exactly $56,500? Is it approximate? Is it rounded off? Or is this something the Dealer said that we can do with out crunching any numbers on paper as proof.

Having to waste posts like this wastes time - again!

My Avatar speaks a thousand words!
I did share the price. I have it in writing just not on a quote sheet for the 2018 truck.

The dealer giving me this pricing based off a huge snafu on their behalf when trying to sell me a 17.

No need to be rude about it..

What I found out is that the consumer has the right to assume that the advertised price is the total sale price unless otherwise noted.

The dealership I went to had a crazy low advertised price because they were including every incentive they could. Then when you went in, they backed all the incentives out and gave you a much higher price. Especially because some incentives were after tax incentives. The ad made no mention of incentives or rebates, just listed the price.

I went back in with a print out from the Motor Vehicle Sales Authority and not only did they have to give me the price they advertised (since they didn't include any disclaimers about it including incentives/rebates) but they then had to give me the same incentives AGAIN.

IMO if they want to play these BS bait and switch games, you should get in there and stick it to them.

As always, your mileage may vary - worked a treat for me.
In my case, they're not really misrepresenting what I will be paying, but how good of a deal it actually is. Here's another great quote, verbatim from my latest Autonation E-mail:

"You are actually buying this vehicle for less than what we as employees can purchase this truck for."

I've finally squeezed the rebate numbers out of them that they used in their calculation for the truck in question...It's a $50465 MSRP truck and they've got $7750 worth of rebates tacked on (standard+loyalty+aged inventory+military). Offer was $38,210. So, that's a dealer discount of $4505 or 9.2 percent, which is the lowest I've gotten so far (highest is 12 percent). Now is it a terrible deal? Maybe not, but I know they can do better. I've also got reservations about a 11/2016 build truck when there is much newer on the lot.

Just out of curiosity, can someone in the know actually give me some reliable information on what the Ford employee discount is?

Keep in mind that the CostCo rebate is after tax. I just bought an F150 in BC for $2000 below the employee price, plus doc fee, plus taxes, less $1000 for CostCo. I will say it was a hell of a fight to get that price though.

When negotiating I told them to forget MSRP. That's an insane price that no one but a total sucker would pay. Negotiate from the Employee pricing price of $37,508.

I'd go in at $35,000 + doc and taxes less CostCo and see what they say. It would also be good to find a few dealers with the same specced truck so you can always walk away if one dealer doesn't want to play. I think if you land it for $36,000 + doc and taxes less $1000 for CostCo you'd have a great deal.

Being that you're hearing it from a Dealer, then I would bank on it being the D Plan. The Ford Employee discount program is A/Z Plan (equal to 10.7% discount). Yup, they lied again as they always do because your deal is only 9.1%.

Why do you have reservations about the 11/2016 Build? You actually have an automatic $700 savings before the two prices increases which occurred in 2017.

It's a supercab, go for $3000 or more off employee price, subercabs are a harder sell then supercrews.

The biggest reason is that there were a few hail storms that rolled through my area slightly after that time frame. I don't want factory paint that's been monkeyed with. Do they have to disclose something like this?

Have the Dealer check the trucks paperwork to see if it's been marked for hail damage & repair.

Paintless dent repairs are pretty good at getting small stuff out. You would definitely want to schedule a meeting off-premise for a neutral assessment by a Paintless Dent Repair professional because they can use a special light to see if the truck has signs of previous hail damage repairs. These guys are pros at this as they can spot headliner removal or holes drilled to access spots with tools.

Also, if the truck had damage to the paint it would've developed rust or separated at the ding site after repair since it's been there more than 6 months.

They would bank on me not going to another dealer. This is Thunder Bay Ontario, there isn't another dealer for 250km or more. The dealer seems pretty big though, they have 30 or so 2017 xlts on their lot.
