This was the best deal I could find but think I could have gotten lower had I wanted a 145" WB. Price DOES NOT include sales tax and registration. I'm in Connecticut but bought the truck in New York state.

Currently driving a super crew 2012 Lariat eco with 38,000 mils. Got an EXCELLENT trade in value which closed the deal. My 2012 has all options and has been a great truck. Just wanted a new truck with a slightly longer bed. Never liked the 5'5" bed but got a super deal so I bought it.

Bottom line I'm excited and can't wait to pick it up next week.... I'll post some pictures when I get it home. Going to install AMP steps (have on my 2012), spray in bed liner and tonneau cover.
This is the truck on dealer lot
Looks great!

two questions:
1. Your Out the door = $52,900, still TTL must be added?
2. How much would 5.5 box would cost OTD?
Thanks.

TTL is obviously going to vary greatly by state but yes must be added but dealer has no control over it.

I got quotes for a 5.5 box for about the same discount but probably could have squeezed another grand? Not sure because I stopped dealing when any truck was a short box.

My dad told me years ago the best deal is one you're happy with and that's all that really counts.

I'm still having trouble figuring out incentives for 27707.

I'm looking at this one:

http://www.windowsticker.forddirect....EW1EF2HFC79984

Or this one:

http://www.windowsticker.forddirect....EW1EG0HFB98975

I'm not against an XLT for the right price but I prefer leather seats and I can't seem to find one equipped that way.

It comes up on Ford.com website along with the available Incentives.

Here's your incentives for a 2017 Lariat 4X4 SCREW. The only one you can't apply for either these choices is the $300. That's available for a 2.7L EcoBoost only.

I know for many of you outside of CA, the sales taxes and fees seem ridiculous, and they are, but it s the price for having perfect wether 345 days a year....

Also, hit me up if you'd like to know what I did to get the extra $750 customer cash... It took some work, but well worth it..
Awesome!

Basically, you worked it to the best extent for YOUR area so I'm sure you're confident that you got the best possible deal.

I calculate your Dealer discount at 9.2% because in all fairness I deducted $300 of the high Fees. That's not bad considering they wouldn't budge and you did beat your target Selling Price.

The Sales Tax hurts doesn't it! Mine is 8%, but it isn't justified by living in nice weather - it's because we get to live near wealthy Politicians.

Enjoy that new truck and thanks for coming back to let others know what's possible for your area PLUS your secret of pulling a $750 rebate out from your hat. Just let others know how you can do it if they PM you, so you don't publish it out in the open.

It would be helpful to show your numbers in more detail (Selling Price & Incentives) so others can easily see what your true Dealer discount came out to. Also, keep in mind that an Out The Door (OTD) price includes EVERYTHING - yes, even the Sales Tax. However, quoting OTD price does not give apples to apples comparison. A big difference in this purchase is the fact that NY Doc Fee is capped by law to $75. So, compare that with Dealers in a States like FL & VA that charge $699 to $799 Doc Fees. Those can easily add 1-1.5% difference to a Dealer discount vs a purchase in NY.

Yeah, but if you look at it this way - your refrigerator all of a sudden stops working with $400 of food in it that'll spoil. So, you run out to Home Depot, and just your luck, you see a great deal on a brand new refrigerator and say "I'll take it - we'll just load it up in the back of my Lexus!". So how much is the F-150 worth now compared to that Lexus?

You are right. There is no question that by combination of utility, protectiveness, and off road capability no cars can surpass American pickup.
That's why I am looking for one.
By studying this forum I got general idea that ratio of OTD/MSRP is from 0.86 to 0.89.
My question was: would it be possible to make it lower. My neighbor in January 2017 got 2016 XLT leftover 45,XXX MSRP for 30,XXX OTD. It is 0.67 ratio. I understand to repeat his deal would be close to impossible, but still 0.75 ratio would make 55K MSRP Lariat more affordable.

Connecticut Doc Fee's can easy reach 1 to 1.5% which is highway robbery IMO. They aren't capped so it's whatever a dealership can squeeze out of the buyers. Buying it in NY capped as you said to 75 dollars is nice.

My deal was made more palletable because I got 26k for my 2012 which helps net down CT sales tax. It's 6.35% and (drum roll please) 7.75% for over 50k. Total rip off IMO. I didn't show sales tax and the 246 dollar reg fee because it varies so much by state and the dealer doesn't control it.

The MSRP on my new truck is $61475 which was discounted to 55900. Then $2500 worth of ford rebates and another 500 for first responder. That brought the total down to $52900 (without sales tax) which I feel is a good price. I'm happy with the bottom line and that's all that really counts. I also had a hell of time trying to located a truck with the 157 WB that had all the options I required. That limited me to only a few dealers in my entire region. I feel lucky to have found what I wanted for a decent price!

Obvously there are a lot of good deals out there on 17's if people are willing to spend the time researching them.
