Default Just ordered it!!!!

I've been reading and reading and looking at local dealership stock online for the last several months. I was planning on waiting until May or June to buy a new one. However, the more I read, the more I want! lol.

I found one that had all the options I wanted, but I didn't like the color (Ignot Silver), and they couldn't find one. So, I ordered one.

Was able to use X-plan which was only $70 more than invoice. I'm fine with that. Easy, non-negotiating, none of this back and forth talk with 3 or 4 people crap. Piece of cake.

Here's what I ordered:

Lariat
Magnetic gray color
502A package
5.0 V8
4x2
Trailer tow package
Technology package
Moonroof
3.55 E-Locker
20" wheels
Adaptive cruise control
36 gallon gas tank

This will be the longest 6 to 8 weeks ever.

Nice configuration. You decided against a 4x4?

Not sure they are still doing it but if you have adaptive cruise ordered you can add the park assist and get a $500 rebate. The park assist is a $460 option, or something like that. Means you get it free plus $40.

You can do minor adds or deletes to your order without changing the build timeline right up till it gets pulled for build.

You might want to check and see if that rebate is still available.

Just saying

I don't parallel park. I don't really need it. And besides, on the rare occasion, if I need to do that, I know how. If I worked and was in a big city a lot and did a lot of parallel parking, I'd consider getting it. But if that was the case, then I'd be a pro at parallel parking and I really wouldn't need it anyway.

Built Ford tough....with park assist. lol. I just can't do it man.

I do appreciate the suggestion though. Just not my style.

PS: The tide sucks. My team beat the tide last season. Hotty Toddy! Go Rebs!

I agree with Bob. Even if you don't think you need it....think ahead a little. It would make it more desirable in the future for resale to a prospective buyer who might desire that feature. Plus the fact the it's essentialy free to you to add(plus $40 in your pocket).

1969TxCowboy, Just wanted to congratulations on your new order truck, however Bod suggested you get the “park assist” and have free + $ 40.00 thru the price of your truck.. please bear in mind these’s a open forum and you do with your money whatever you really want. That was a very good implication by Bod.

I hear ya, no problem, just didn't know if you were aware of it is all.

Don't think I will ever use mine either but hay, it's better than free and adds a bit of value to my truck later on.

The 4x4 option also enhances resale value.
