Default It's Been Fun

After spending nearly a year working to fix multiple issues on my '19 F150, Ford finally agreed to buy it back. I took possession of my new 2021 F250 Lariat 6.7 Tremor yesterday. Thanks for the laughs and the plethora of information on this board! And for the 2nd gen EB owners... good luck with the cam phaser fiasco too!

If your 2019 was a complete failure I'm surprised you stuck with Ford.
Enjoy your new ride.

I probably would have bailed on Ford also. I’ve heard positive things about the Tremor, nice looking truck, good luck with it.

Tremors are sweet and they ride/drive so nice for a 3/4 ton. A biz partner has one with the 7.3 which is a sweet engine and even better on gas empty/towing than you'd think for a V8 3/4 ton, makes the GM and Ram V8s feel like lethargic V6s, literally lol. He already has it tuned, it scoots lol.

1st time he didn't go Powerstroke. Just wasn't a need he tows under 15k when he does and the Powerstroke is just stupid expensive option now, maintence is far higher, parts are crazy expansive, diesel fuel cost similar or more than premium now. I was surprised when he went V8 but one drive with that 7.3 and I love that engine lol

Depends on how they handled the situation. Even Toyota can put out a few lemons now and then. I had a friend who had a Camry with the oil sludge problem when it was out of warranty and Toyota replaced the engine. Now it wasn't a walk in the park. There was a lot of back and forth with Toyota; with Toyota claiming she failed to do the proper maintenance on time. But all the maintenance had been done at the dealer and their records showed all oil changes were done on time using the correct oil and Toyota OEM filters. Toyota eventually relented and replaced the engine. The car was in the shop for 4 months but Toyota reimbursed her for rental expenses she had while they negotiated the fix then paid for the dealer loaner while it was being repaired.

Overall she was pleased with how it turned out and said her next vehicle will be a new Lexus. Meanwhile she's still driving that old Camry with the fresh engine.

I stayed with Ford because I've had several that have been problem free, and that I enjoyed quite a bit. Every manufacturer occasionally has a vehicle that has problems that are challenging to resolve, and Ford is no different. I will say, Ford did an excellent job with the buyback process, and made getting into the new truck far easier, and less expensive, than it might otherwise have been. I have 300 miles on the new truck, and so far, am loving it!

Very nice F250... I think the Tremors are a nice setup. Glad you got it in a well equipped Lariat too. I saw a base Lariat Tremor at the local dealer... why! Didn't even have keyless start.

If you want to sell me those running boards at any point, let me know. Would be happy to take them off your hands.
