Default Issue with “OK” button on steering wheel

Having this strange issue with OK button that is not behaving ok. It is doing what the right arrow is doing and instead of making me choose a display like fuel economy or tow info, it just pushes to next menu. Wondering if it is the button or software. Also, is there a way to remove those switch for cleaning ?

The first thing that usually causes issues with the steering wheel buttons is the clockspring. You gave a hole bunch of info on your truck in your signature, but failed to say what year it was. The earlier years (2015 and 2016) are prone to clockspring failures.

I'll tell you right now, it's 99% not the switch. It's mostly likely the clock spring or the steering column control assembly (which also includes the clock spring). I have same issue where sometimes the the okay button act as an arrow button, or the up button act as the okay button. Same with audio controls on other side of the steering wheel. I bought new switches and that did not solve the issue. I need to replace the steering column control assembly, just never got around to it yet.

You would need to get this part. But they make different ones depending if you have power tilt or manual tilt, rain sensing wipers, etc.

Here's an example: https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts...gtZmxleA%3D%3D

Had the same problem. It went away after clockspring replacement.
