Default Interior Trim - replace or paint?

Just purchased an 18’ XLT with 60k on the odometer. Truck has some wear as would be expected with such mileage however the interior has a bit more than I would like. I’m looking into either replacing or painting the silver trim on the center console as well as door handles first. Will likely do the console lid as well as steering wheel swap as well.
How difficult is it to replace the pictures silver trim items? The pieces have numerous scratches as well as stains from liquid that will not come off with me maguires APC. Kind of tough to see in photos for some reason.

I vote paint because it's the much cheaper option I'd think and you could change the color if you desired to something that you would like. I'd just take my time taping things off and removing the trim pieces so that I wouldn't break anything.

The center console piece that you have pictured is pretty easy to get out. Watch a few YouBoob videos and just use consistent and gentle pressure. No yanking on it to get it out.

thanks, I’ll definitely check out some YouTube clips to see how the console pieces are removed. Are the door pulls tough to get off? I’d thing the whole door panel would have to come off

I haven't had the need to pull them yet. If I did, I'd probably pull the door skin and just mask everything else. It'd take a bit more time, but it eliminates the possibility of snapping something that is retained by one of those cheap *** pressure clips.

Once you pull that console piece the first time, you won't forget how it comes out. Just use the same level of care replacing it as well.

Almost forgot. Spend the $10 on Amazon for a set of plastic panel poppers tools. They’re well worth it.

You could get some plastic covers for the door handles that stick on with 3M tape.

Got these guys from eBay for like $40-$50 for a set of 4.

The door pull thingys pop right off too. If you were going to remove the door panel you would have to remove the door pull thingy first. There's a couple screws behind it that hold the door panel on. Also to remove the door panel you would have to pop that plate off where I drew the green arrow. There are screws under that plate that hold the door panel on.
