Default Insurance

Just thought I'd post to tell all the folks running around shouting about how the insurance prices would be through the roof on our aluminum trucks (GM & Ram boys). Going from my 2010 F150 to my 2015 F150 my insurance rate went up a whopping $10 a month.....& that's just because it's a newer vehicle. So to all the doomsday insurance preachers out there, where's my HUGE premium increase ????

Same situation here, and I went from an 01 4x4 Eddie Bauer Expedition to my '15 Lariat 4x4.
I was pleasantly surprised by the minimal increase.

I have Geico. I got a quote on all of the major trucks and here are the results:

Disclaimer - Includes my wife (colorful driver) and her car (VW Jetta)

F-150 - $914.39
RAM 1500 - $924.86
Silverado 1500 - $956.35
Tundra - $956.77

This is for a 4x4 Crew on all of the makes.

So much for aluminum being way more costly to insure!
