Ever since putting K02s on and going up one size in tire, I felt the stock brakes didn't perform as well prior to the change in tires. Also, lately I began hearing a grinding noise when braking and started to feel some warping (or whatever the term is).
So after I just rolled 32k on my 2016 Lariat I decided to put in new brakes. I did some research and decided to go with the PowerStop Z36 Truck & Tow Brake Kit on all 4 wheels: https://www.powerstop.com/product/power-stop-z36-kit/
I have had them on for a week now and so far I'm impressed. They are smooth as can be, quiet and stop great. I cannot necessarily tell a difference in stopping power when doing slow speed stops but when I push the pedal down hard to stop quickly I can tell a noticeable difference. These definitely bite better then the stock units and seem to be getting better the more they break in.
Overall they are much more confidence inspiring. I didn't honestly think rotors and pads could make that much of a difference. They also look great, although the pics don't really do them justice. These seem pretty popular and just wanted to share my thoughts for anyone giving them consideration.
Still quite a bit of pad left on the old pads but so far happy that I swapped them out
I've been eyeing this upgrade for a while so it's good to hear they perform. 2 questions: are the pads actually dust free like they claim? Also do you have the electric e-brake? If you do any thoughts in upgrading calipers as well?
Get them a bit wet and hang on when you hit the brakes as you are going to STOP! I took my truck to the car wash today, and pulling out I hit the brakes to let someone else go by and damn near hit the steering wheel!
My only complaint was the break in period, the pedal was spongy for the first 1000-1500 miles, both when I first installed them on the 14, then when I transferred them to the 16, though they were a bit rusted from sitting after I removed them from the 14. Now with 56K miles on them, they still brake great.
I don't know about others but I have very little dust from mine, but I also do a lot of highway.
Perfect. I was thinking they are "dustless". Although, anything over stock HAS to be better... There's so much dust... I didn't notice so much on the stock wheels, but my Hostiles are covered after 2 weeks of only driving at night/weekends. The work truck gets me around between that.

I've only had them on a week and got the truck washed in between so cannot comment yet on whether the dust is minimized. I'll try to provide a better response after I log some more time.
I do have the electric ebrake but didn't consider upgrading the calipers as I wasn't sure how much (if any) impact they would bring.

Good to know on stopping when they are wet. I haven't noticed any spongy feeling in the pedal but I do feel like they are stopping better and better each day as they break in.
