Default Input on Tires

Hello, I have a 2018 F150 XL regular cab long bed FX4 4wd

It has the original Goodyear Kevlar A/T tires at 245/70/17 which is about a 30.1 inch tire

I am looking to get BFG A/T Ko3 or maybe Duratracs or similar and want higher sidewall profile for softening ride, and airing down off road

I have the stock XL 17" steel wheels.

Looking for inputs on possible higher profile tire sizes.... like 32 or 33 inches

Don't want a lift, don't want rubbing
Don't mind a little mpg loss, don't mind a little torque loss

thank you

Specs for current tires: Goodyear Adventure LT AT Kevlar

Is your truck an HDPP? 245/70r17 is normally the 2wd size. What load range are the tires on your truck?

Ah yes.

Your tires are LT not P metric.

If you can, go take a look at them. Find what the max PSI is and see what the load rating is (LT come in load C, D and E).

You need to use the same load rated tires or a higher load when replacing.

They are LT rated P metric sized and have a load rating of E
It says that on the window sticker listing
Given I tow 7000-8200 lbs regularly I would stick with E

Curious if this tire will fit, load E 285/70/17 32.8 dia.

With your stock wheels, you should be able to fit the LT285/70r17E without issues. It’s about a 32.5” tire.

Seem like a regular question but as it's for a regular cab I'll add 2 cent's in.
My son's all stock 2019 4wd on Nokian Outpost 285-70-17 116T SL tires@32.7 inch diameter 46+ pounds each. Had them 2 winters they are quiet and grip good in snow.

My 2017 RC has a near 2 inch level 2wd on Nitto G3 116T sl, 48 pound 32.75 diameter, on 0 offset wheels. 7 mouths old grip dry/wet/snow ride well and quiet real similar to the Nokians.

Both fit without trouble, Sam's lost 1-2 MPG, mine are still in limbo for MPG we are still on winter fuel and I am dialing in my speedometer for accuracy. No noticed power loss both are 2.7s my XL came stock 245-70-17 Sam's XLT stock 265-70-17s. You should have no problem with this size and I think even larger in diameter. KM
