Test drove a 16 2.7 EB Super Cab today... I'm sold... will be getting one with a tow package. I only tow a boat that weighs in at 2500# (maybe 2700 wet) with trailer. I can't believe how quick it is in Sport mode. I would go 3.5 EB if I went Super Crew though, but that's just me.

OMG, you were able to pick an engine without starting another 2.7 vs 3.5 vs 5 which is better thread?

But really...welcome and good choice!

The 2.7l is impressive. It's pretty quick in a crew cab 4x4 too.

Not in my experience. Yes, I have one.

Yeah, I drove it in it's 4x4 form as well. I'm sure the 2x4 is some what quicker.

You know the 2018 2.7 got yet another power bump 25 ft-lbs bringing it up to 400 +10 speed

Some members here with 2016 2.7EB engines had problems requiring engine replacements. Seems to have been a bad batch in that model year and I think there are TSBs associated with it. 2015 2.7EB owners don't seem to have the problem even though they have the highest mileage. As a matter of fact those early engines are turning out to be really reliable.
