Default Impact mat?

I've tried google and youtube, but can't really get any good info on the Bedrug Impact Mat.

Anybody know the difference between it and the XLT mat? Thanks in advance.

Seems like this product is playing off of the Chevy dropped bricks commercial. $199, but for twice that you can get the entire bed sprayed and be done. Spray in bedliner holds up very well and won't need replacing.

I have a spray in liner but still was looking at those bed rug mats. I like the idea of the one piece might help getting things in and out of the bed. Also at times when getting in out of the bed having the extra pad would be good. Here was another discussion on the topic

Maybe true, but I'd like to have something easy on the knees and won't scratch things I put back there.

Oh yea, I like the one piece of the XLT, but I think the Impact Mat is a new (one piece) product. Just trying to figure out the difference between the two. Gonna pull the trigger on one or the other, just don't know which one. Thanks for the reply and link.

From the Bedrug website:

Impact Mat is designed specifically for trucks that have a spray in liner or no bed liner. Now featuring an integrated tailgate gap guard hinge that connects the bedmat piece to the tailgate piece. It is constructed from the original BedTred TPO material with ¾" thick foam backing. Installs in less than 15 minutes with hook and loop fastners.

Yea, I saw that. Looks just like the bedrug XLT description though:

Product Detail Page - This BedRug XLT Mat is designed specifically for trucks that have an existing spray-in liner or no bed liner. The all new design has an integrated tailgate gap guard hinge that connects the bed piece to the tailgate piece. The polypropylene top layer construction offers a flat work surface, that is slip and skid resistant. The ¾†padded under layer provide dent and impact resistance while offering cushion for your knees while crawling around in your truck bed. The XLT Mat install in minutes using hook and loop fasteners to install without the need to prep, sand or drill holes into your truck bed.

If you want a cheap option go to your local feed store and buy a rubber horse stall mat. It's what I did, now I have a 3/4" rubber mat ready for abuse. I bought mine for around $30.

Any pics? I was thinking bout going that route...how much trimming was involved? Also is it heavy enough not to blow out?
Thanks in advance

They weigh a ton and are only about 4x6 ft, so don't fill the bed completely.
