It does. Put the gear selector in M and then shift into what ever gear you want with the gear select buttons on the left side of the gear shift (above the sport button). Sport is a ton of fun in M. I was trying to figure out how much control it would let me have and believe it or not it let me take off in 3rd gear! Obviously, not something you'd want to do but the fact that it let me tells you it will let you do whatever you want.

True, I meant in D it would be nice to kick it up a notch when hanging in gear isn't warranted...just dreaming.

I've done a couple of mountain trips over the last month and Sport Mode is absolutely amazing for that kind of driving. The added braking power from more responsive downshifting and the sitting in 3rd or 4th allows me to hit corners a little slower than normal and then give it a little gas to quickly get back up to proper speed.

I actually get excellent mountain MPGs considering the type of driving, at least what I consider excellent, and I attribute a lot of that to Sport Mode.

Nope. It comes standard on them all. Actually not sure about the 3.5NA but the rest of them have it.

I get 6th gear with my 2.7 3:73 gears in sport mode. 65mph is usually the fastest I go.

Ok, what does Sport Mode do in Manual Mode? I saw another poster say to do this. Honestly this seems to be an oxymoron.

Makes the throttle response more aggressive. It's pretty noticeable if you're putting along and do nothing but change to sport mode, you'll accelerate somewhat.
