Default Im hooked on Sport mode

yep, cant help it, find my thumb searching out that magic button every time I drive lately. who needs good mileage? I like the shift pattern and I live in NC now, home of left lane nappers and some sweet twisty back roads. makes my eco boost git up and go !! wish my old knees had a sport button

Default Sport mode

Im having the same issue....I too am addicted to sport mode.

It started off so harmless, I would only have sport mode activiated when I was fooling around with my friends, than I found myself activiating it on my ride home from work. Now its getting worse.. I find myself activating Advance Trac sport mode everytime I get in the truck. My gas millege gets down to 14MPG in my 20 mile city/interstate commute, soo maybe I need help.

Someone needs to set up a sport mode anonymous in my area before I cant afford to put gas in my truck

Who cares about gas mileage if it makes it more enjoyable to drive. Down in NC I imagine its below 1.70 a gallon now. With oil dropping 15% since the first of the year it will be getting cheaper. Enjoy it

Hazchris, welcome to NC!

Just filled up yesterday locally and I paid $1.73. I regularly commute to Atlanta for work. Spartanburg, SC is running at $1.53 so I fill up any time I get a chance headed through there. Yes, with those gas prices, I am in sport mode unless I am on the interstate. But, when prices climb back up to $4 we have the ability to also throttle back and get 20MPG. Feels like the sweet spot to me.

I know, I was just making a joke.. When I bought the EcoBoost it wasent to gain 2mpg on a $40,000 truck, the goal was to drive it like I stole it and enjoy life. These gas prices are definitely making it easier to do just that.. Gas is $1.97 in Portland, Me

I use it all the time around town to get around idiots up in northern nj area, plus I notice an increase in fuel economy with sport mode. Go figure hahaha

annndddd, we are still paying $ 0.80 / liter up here (probably one of the cheapest places in Canada right now), or $3.20'ish a gallon. F**k. and no sport mode either on my 13

I have hardly used it honestly, I'm doing all I can to keep my mpg above 20 or so but seeming to float more in the mid 19s.

Which is still damn good for a full size crew cab 4x4! My 94 Bronco got about 11mpg...lol.

I use it every time I drive. It's just automatic now, shift out of park and double tap the tow button. I like the responsiveness and the shift settings save my brakes when in heavy traffic. (About 20 miles worth per day)

Honestly I haven't seen any difference in mileage.
I drive 70 miles to work so I have a 140 mile round trip. More than half of that trip is on a 75mph road, so my mileage isn't that great no matter what mode I drive.

Every 2 weeks I drive to Louisiana for meetings so thats an 800 mile round trip.
90% of my driving is on the highway with the cruise set at 75 to 80mph.

Got my truck on July 10th and it turned 30,000 miles today.
