I am really loving this truck!

Im happy with my 2016 2.7 also.
42K miles
I have noticed lately a bit of vibration, most noticeable during "coasting" at 40-55mph so am concerned about the dreaded unfixable vibration posts. But it could be the tires or shocks I guess after 42K.
My only other complaint would be the audio quality (mostly XM radio source). I am collecting parts to remedy that.
I have always owned GM small block V8's before (now in my 60's) and do my own maintenance and have done some engine swapping in the old days, beginning with a sweet 1957 Bel Air! I've owned 3 C1500 trucks. I had a real feeling of abandonment going away from the venerable Chevy small block!
The aluminum F150 though offered a lightweight 4x4 with roomy super crew that I have set up to tow behind the motorhome. It is contributing to a happy retirement!

I absolutely love my truck! I bought it 3 years ago and I have put 50,000 miles on it. I have no complaints. I have made some modifications and love them all. I plan on keeping this truck for years and years. This is my 3rd F150. I had no issues with the other two either. I really like reading the positive comments.

I was reading an article online about Ford’s continuous #1 ranking for 42 years, and in the article the guy from Ford stated that customers have long memories and a lot of people remember that back in the financial mess of 2008, Ford was the only US automaker that did not take government bailout money...

I am with the group that Love's My Truck I got on this site before purchasing my first ford truck. I read all the posts positive and negative and took everything with a grain of salt. I went to General Motors Institute in the 70's but not a brand loyalist as my father was as I own a Hyundai, Porsche, GM and now a 2018 Ford XLT 5.0 and really like it. I was originally wanting the 2.7 but in looking at payload and wanting to tow my boats needed a 3.5 or 5.0.
I got a killer deal on the exact options I wanted color and the only engine available in 2018's left over Dec of this past year was the 5.0. My particular dealer in Chattanooga sells a lot of 5.0's I only have 3000k on is since Xmas but it is a great vehicle for me so far. My wife loves the ride for a truck and seats thinks they are the most comfortable ones she has ever sat on.
I bought the extended warranty for the first time on any vehicle I have ever purchased. I have owned many all brands foreign and American including Lincoln and Fords even a Pinto LOL years ago and never really have had many problems. I got it on the truck as I am close to retirement and with all the new electronics I personally worry more about them then the mechanicals and did not want to have to a huge computer or electronic thing go bad and have to pay for it down the road.
So far I do not have any oil consumption issues, off throttle rattles. The 10 speed shifted sort of firm and not real smooth downshifting when new but since it has learned my driving habits think it is great so far. I have towed some no great distances but the 5.0 has plenty of power for my needs and tows great. I do like the sound of it and do hear the fuel injectors firing when it idles but I would not call it obnoxious it can just be heard in the background when outside and close to the front of the truck.
Am I happy? Yes I am and would do it again. I feel for the people that are having issues with their trucks. I would hope Ford would back up their products. I have a good rapor with the salesman and manager of the dealership I bought mine from. I think that is half the battle if you do have issues to have a dealership that will back you up and be on your side with Ford corporate if you do have serious warranty issues.
Anyway it is great and refreshing to have at least one thread where people are happy with their trucks and can say so.

Same here. Very very pleased with my ‘18 with the 5.0, and 10 speed. I’ve had it since the end of December, and it has not left me in any regret. Knock on wood, no issues to date.

As the OP, I need to update/correct something from my, OP!
I stated that the BAK Revolver X4 tonneau had keep the bed ‘mostly’ dry, but I didn’t take into account that I had run the truck through a rather intense high-pressure car wash the evening before my trip...we have had rain almost every day since that trip and the bed has remained dry; I believe that the water I saw after the trip was actually residual water from the car wash as I have not had any water at all get inside since then.
