Default I am finally pulling the trigger...

It's been stock long enough, almost 5k miles and not a single mod..

I am ordering a few goodies I have had my eye on.

The deezee tailgate damper, new headlight bulbs, bilstein 5100s, motofab 2.5 front/1.5 rear spacers and some 35x12.5r20 KO2s.

Wish me luck.. I will post as soon as I get everything installed..

I am hoping not, but it shouldn't be that bad of a change.

Take a look at the OEM tailgate dampener. I doubt it costs all that much more and it tucks away in the space behind the taillight. Here is the thread.

For LED headlights 4x4truckleds.com has been around the forum quite a bit and could definitely be helpful in converting OEM to LED or going the route of Anzo LED headlights.

Good luck!

I just installed the OEM dampener and love it. Shock is hidden, cost was only about $37.00 for both parts and easy to install. If you want to, you can even paint the tailgate piece to match your color, otherwise it is black but not real noticeable.

I am also thinking that I might need a slight spacer to make the tires work anyone have running issues with 12.5 wide tires on stock rims?

Well there are a lot of "stock rims". A bit more specific would help.

A 12" tire on the stock 8.5" wide rim is not a great (suggested) fit. As far as fitting in the wheel well a spacer would only make it worse.

I didn't know that. Thanks. Aren't the Platinum 20" stock rims 9" wide and not 8.5?
