Default Huge Mistake

Well, i just bought a 2016 F-150. That week, a door seal came loose, and a few bushings and other pieces fell off. The carpet is coming up near the passengers side door. Is this typical Ford "craftsmanship"? Can i look forward to going to the dealership every month to get something else fixed? I feel like i've just made a $50k, 6 year mistake.

take it to the dealer, get a copy of the OASIS work order and keep it. Keep taking it to be fixed under warranty, then trade it when it makes financial sense.

If its really that crappy you could shoot for lemon law.

Unless you factory ordered some of these things sounds like you could have found them before signing the paperwork.

Wow. I would think a $50k truck would not have things falling off in less than a week. I guess my standards are too high. I should have inspected the truck more before buying. Oh well, off to make my useless Ford payment.

That's the old fallback. When in doubt, talk about how much you paid.

Anyway, back on topic, no that is not normally the quality of your typical Ford truck. As was said, take it back to the dealer.

I mean, if i paid what it is really worth, about $20k, i would expect poor engineering and assembly. Not for $50k, though. That seems excessive, even for Ford.

I would be at the dealer's doorstep bitchin'. Squeaky wheel gets the grease, or in other words they WOULD make it right. I've bought a new Ford truck every 3-5 years for 25 years and have never experienced issues as you've described. Get what you payed for.

"a few bushing and other pieces fell off" ok, so which bushings and what other pieces?

With 3 of your 5 posts in this thread and almost no details, what exactly are you expecting here? parts falling off is not typical "craftsmanship" for ANY manufacturer on ANY of their vehicles (at ANY price point) and everyone knows that.

Well, you got your answers. Now you're saying you purposely overpaid $30,000. I'm not sure where to go from here, friend.
