Hows Nav Working?
I live in a very urban area (Dallas-Ft.Worth). Aside from time it takes to do voice prompts (Navigation-POI-Nearby-destination name) it works fine. Seems to understand me fine. I will say this though. I built my house almost 4 years ago and the map pack that came with the truck still doesn't have my neighborhood or streets on it. So I don't know how dated the maps are.
Glad I didn't wait. Loving the truck and sync is just fine
If your vehicle has MyFord Touch with voice activated navigation, the map information will be stored on an SD card. The vehicle will leave the factory with the most current map SD card available at the time it was built. Our map updates are handled by our software partner, HERE. When the time comes that you're interested in updating the map content, you can visit HERE's website at: www.Navigation.com and enter the year, make, and model to see pricing and availability information. Don't hesitate to reach out to a HERE representative if you have questions. Their phone number is 1-888-628-6277.
The video on this page will give you a better understanding of how the system looks and operates. Check it out: http://support.ford.com/sync-technol...c-myford-touch

I have it in my 2013 Lariat and used it extensively on a month long road trip from Red Deer, AB to Sudbury, ON. Not once did I have an issue, even with some obscure addresses. Finding my nephew's home (a labyrinth of wild directions) near Ottawa, ON was a breeze. I would have to say from my experience it is much handier and smoother than I'd hoped.

I sure hope my sync doesn't suck as bad as it does in my dads 2013 f350. One time we were leaving somewhere and just hit home and we literally made it half way home before it started navigating..
