Default How to patch a hole in the bed?

Don’t ask how it got there because I don’t know. Have about a 1 inch hole in my bed. The good news is it’s more of a “slice” and it appears both edges could fix together cleanly if I knew how....

Take it to an experienced aluminum welder. If you're got a cycle shop that welds, their guy is probably experienced with aluminum.

Otherwise, run a small drill bit through the ends of the crack to stop propagation, and cover it with a mat.

Or at least use an empty tool box like they used on the Chevy.

Ideally the repair would be to weld, grind down rough edges, spray bed at Line-X or wherever, and put a Dee-Zee rubber mat over it. You will get dinged on trade value if you don't do something, and it might lengthen also if you do nothing.
