How to patch a hole in the bed?
this is a “project” truck that is way beyond trading in. Already cut the frame horns for an off-road number. Already removed the crash bars to fit 35s. Already drilled a hole in the roof to run a VHF antenna.
Ok, if it is a project truck and you are looking to beef it up for off road, what are you going to be hauling in the back for equipment? Maybe you want to lay a sheet of steel on the bed floor, bolt it through the aluminum floor and to the chassis so you don't have to worry about what you have back there. We have experienced issues with our aluminum XL fleet trucks when hauling loads of 55 gallon drums of hay preservatives or of DEF. The rivets between the floor and the wheel wells will pop or tear if too much is put back there for weight and not secured. Still suggest spraying everything with Line-X if nothing else.
Hauling 500lb+ drums... yeah, you're gonna wanna strap that down. A pallet of DEF is into unicorn payload territory.
