Yeah the AT6 is a no brainier in the quarter. Was tempted to get an AT because every single one of my vehicles since I was 16 has all been manual except for one out of like 12. But after thinking about it I had to get a manual for he Stang.

But the AT on the truck has been bad ***.

Mustang GT:
AirAid CAI
Boss Mani
Cat Delete
3" catback
BAMA 93 tune
MT Street Comp 305/35/20
Best 1/4 12.24s and it was a cool day

It will. I didn't say it wouldn't, you did.

And that's the current ecoboost v6... the 2017 will be rated at 375/470 with dual injection it should be easier to tune.

One thing to remember when comparing N/A to boosted in that for every 1 bar (14.5 psi)of boost pressure you effectively double the volume of air ingested by the engine. Example is 3.5L x 1 bar of boost=equivalent of 7.0 Liters of displacement at atmospheric pressure. So a 5.0 would need about 6 psi of boost to match the Ecoboost on just volumetric consumption of air. In engine more air, and more fuel generally equals more power. So a supercharged 5.0 at 6 psi on a volumetric air basis will match an Ecoboost but crush it in terms of horsepower and torque.

Are you serious? A 5.0 DOHC with a carb would be badass and super cool, no different that the GM guys putting a carb on a LS based 5.3, 6.0 or 6.2.

First, I believe the person that was aimed at is under the impression that ford brought back the old 302, rather than revise the mod motor.

Secondly, these modern efi systems can do way more than any carb could ever do. I can't think of a single reason to switch to a carb from modern properly tuned efi.

Drag racers do it all the time. I've seen a 6.2 ford with a carb. Yes, efi can do more. I never said a carb was better.

The 5.0 is not related to the previous Mod V8s.
Not a derivation of an existing engine, not borrowed from a sedan, not developed to satisfy a sanctioning body, but conceived, designed, and built as a Mustang performance engine. It is the new 5.0 Four-Valve TiVCT V-8, which simultaneously pays homage to Ford history and traditional enthusiast performance expectations while fully embracing new technologies. Given its intent, performance, and mainstream production, it promises to be one of the most important Mustang V-8s of all time.

I'm pretty sure it is just the latest version of the modular v8.
