Yeah, if that's the case then I agree. Most of those I see driving around look like crap and blind other drivers.

You could say the same about the new gen of F-150 and the 2.7 Ecoboost, but look how many people bought them. I bought mine back in March and there were no long term reviews on them either.

You obviously unaware how halogens and hids and headlights in general work. Halogens don't have a cut off. Only hids with a proper projector and cut off shield. Put one halogen and one non proper hid in each headlight and have someone drive the truck at you head on and tell me the hid doesn't have more glare and blinds you. Please take pics from a car in front of your truck head on.

I used the $30 eBay kits on every motorcycle I've owned in half a decade and never had a problem. Install it correctly with a relay and dedicated fused power line. They'll work fine.

Actually halogens can in fact have a proper cutoff as its all in the projector.

I know for one my wifes SHO Taurus the projector is the same part in both the Taurus that uses halogen as the SHO Taurus that uses HIDs.

I wouldn't dream of putting hids in halogen housings on a $40k truck! When I see someone with scatter beams coming at me I expect a rice burner with a large exhaust tip! You can have someone retrofit your headlights for around $600 and won't blind the crap out of oncoming traffic.
