Still goofed
I got the pin puller tool, no luck. That tool seems to only work when the wire is securely connected. Any other ideas for pulling the pin?

Take a round toothpick and super glue it to the connector to act as the wire to help with pulling the connector out?

Usually there is a plastic piece that comes off the opposite side of the wires that exposes tabs that hold it in place.
Example the red part comes out
