Default Help! Pulled out a mini wire!

Okay, I goofed. While working on the USB hub I pulled out the yellow wire in the picture. It appears there's a mini crimp connector left in the connector. Anyone have an idea how to get this out and repair the mess I've made? Thanks for the help.

Pull the connector out,,carefully solder the wire into the connector and stick the connector back in. Hard part if finding how to release the connector so it will come out,,, it will you just have to find the trick..

You could either take the pin out, to recconnect it to the wire. Or soldier it back in.

Default How to pull it out

I agree with pulling the connector out and soldering back. However I can't find anything small enough to pull the connector? Any ideas?

I've tried tweezers. No luck!

It won't just pull out. There's usually a small plastic tab that you have pry up with a tiny screwdriver to release the connector.

Unlikely this would work but how about threading a small sheet metal screw into it and pull it out that way.

It would be easier, to reinsert the bare wire. Then soldier it back to the connector, without removing the pin from the connector.

If you try to solder while the connector is installed you will damage (melt ) the plastic plug! Don't try to just pull the connecter out or you will break it. You have to insert a very small pick or a sturdy sewing needle from the front of the plug into the cavity and release the tab. It should come out easy. If you look in the plug from the front you should be able to see the tab.

Go to a good electronics store and get a pin puller. I am an electronics engineer we use em all the time but they are getting harder to find. One side is red and other is white for the common sizes.
Looks like this.
