Default Height question

Have a 2018 XLT Super crew f150. I am going to put a 4inch lift with Nitto Ridge tires. Does anyone know if this truck would fit in a 7 ft. garage door opening?

Assuming it's a 4x4, cab height is 76.9 inches. So you're adding a 4 inch lift, plus I assume larger tires... maybe going from the stock ~32" to 35". So that's 76.9 + 4 + (3 * 0.5) = 82.4" or 6' 10.4". It might fit, but you'll have to be exceptionally careful... just going in too fast and bouncing the suspension, or if your lift really gives you 4.5" rather than 4", or many other possibilities would be enough to make the cab strike.

If you have to ask probably not a good idea to go that high. Or ask the pros who are going to do the work.

I asked the same thing before I bought my truck. You should measure the lowest point on your door opening. My 7' garage was only 83" tall at the weather strip along the bottom of the door. A 4" lift with 34" tires should fit, but I was leary of having a $50K truck I couldn't park in my garage. I decided to just do a level when the time comes. Do you know anyone with a truck you could have come over and test with?

FWIW, you can search the site using Google (which, unlike the built-in site search, actually works) by adding "site:f150forum.com" to your search. So if you search "lift fit in my garage site:f150forum.com", or something similar, you'll find some of the other times the question has been asked. Clearly some variation truck-to-truck and garage-to-garage, though.
