Heated Steering Wheel Installation

I’ve got my harness. Control module is supposedly on nationwide backorder.

Auto climate blowing hot after Heated Steering install
heated steering is working great! However I’m experiencing some odd auto climate control behavior.
Prior to heated steering I would normally run “auto” and set the temp to 70-72 for a comfortable temp. I’m not sure if it’s coincidence but I seem to be getting warm/hot air in my face. No airflow from the vents that I can redirect. Setting the temp to 65-67 is still very warm. If I turn off the Climate control I feel the difference and if I switch it manual (not auto) it’s okay.
Do I need to reset a specific module? Am I imagining things? If I turn off the heated steering I still get the same effect.
I even thought maybe cool air was blowing over the heated wheel causing warm air but I don’t feel any blowing air toward me.
If a module reset for Hvac would help, which module(s) should I do?
Thanks!
Brian

I’d like to chime in here. I’m in a ‘19 and have experienced something similar. I did a HSW a few weeks ago and my climate control seems to read the cabin as much colder than it did beforehand, resulting in the auto cc trying to heat the cab. Granted it’s 40-50 degrees out, I have had to keep my temp set at 60 degrees or slightly over to keep the cab where I would have had it set to 70ish for the same (as far as I can tell just by feel) approximate temperature.
I have been considering dropping by a dealer to have the cabin temperature sensor recalibrated. I assume I need IDS to do this as opposed to FORScan?
**edit: 2 weeks after this mod, it seems my cc has leveled back out on its own. Cabin temp setting seems to reflect as stock before the installation.

OBD connection
yes, you may need to inquire with BGG on his OBD test port pigtail or splice into the OBD Assuming the 2019’s are wired like the 2018’s there isn’t a test port under the driver dash.

Done!
Thanks to Jeff for the write up and BGG for the harness. This was an effortless upgrade. Very pleased about it. Hardest part was fishing the power wire through the center console (I used a coat hanger.
FWIW, my truck is a 2015 501a. It had the connector behind the obd port and no wire in pin 15 at the fuse box. Even though I have a rear camera.
