As has been said before, it's not just the bulbs that need to be changed, it's the whole assembly.

I have a 502A Lariat, and highly recommend it. I did a comparison of all the features between 501A and 502A, and it was more than worth it... unfortunately, I can't find that document now

Wow. 501A with Sony and tow is 52,005. 502A with tow is 54,530. 2,525 difference and there really isn't that much difference. I mean there is but under the 502A description they list alot of chrome but if you get sport I'm sure the chrome isn't deductible

I keep reading complaints about the halogens and I just don't get it because mine are great. When passing or getting passed on dark highways, my lights are lighting up the road better than 9/10 of the other vehicles... They're definitely better than any other vehicle I've driven except for the projectors I had in my VW. I have stock bulbs and haven't touched the aiming. Maybe mine are aimed down a little more? I don't know, but the only time they start to suck is when they start getting covered in bugs, dirt or snow/ice...

I can tell you that mine were aimed too high to be useful. After leveling the truck and putting on bigger tires, my lights were aimed so high I could only see any light at all in the tree line on a dark country road at night. They were aimed about at the top of the hood line at a distance of about 25 feet. After adjusting them they are much better, but I still need to lower the point of aim somewhat.

In part my issue may be that I came from HIDs on my 2014 Mustang GT. The fog lights alone on that thing were enough to light my way at night.

If you're coming from a truck with HIDs, I think you'd be massively disappointed with the halogen headlights. I've even done a bulb upgrade to some better Philips halogens, and it really barely made them decent. The bulbs are a pain to change on the 2015+ also.

The spread and cutoff is surprisingly good for halogen reflectors, but there is NO intensity to the beam. Driving in town with streetlights at night, I can't even tell that my headlights are on. I will probably upgrade to the ANZOs, or get a custom set of HIDs at some point.

If you're used to HIDs, and buy a truck with halogens, I would absolutely budget in the cost to upgrade to an HID setup, or the Raptor Retrofit OEM LED setup. You will not be happy with the halogens.

Raptor retrofit puts out an OEM LED headlight kit

And you can always just replace the halogen bulbs with LED bulbs as well - the XHP LED Conversion kits are popular with f150 owners right now

So those are your two options if you don't get them from the factory

502a package does it give you led headlights btw - at least on xlt models and below

Do you have a Forum package price discount for hi-low heads and fogs?

PM if necessary.

Having traded my '13 FX4 with HID lights to a '15 Lariat with LED lights me and my wife both feel the HID lights were better then the LEDs which are still very good lights.

Now my brother in law bought an F150 with the Halogen lights and did this conversion as suggested on these forums and I have to admit it was a pretty substantial upgrade to factory halogens.

Agree with you...my 14 FX4 HID are amazing and everyone says that who rides with me. My 14 FX4 with heat/cool leather, sony, tow, trailer brake, dual zone, tailgate step, HIDs, etc etc had a sticker of 49,025. The similarly equipped truck now is 54,000ish. Ugh. Guess I'm just being cheap. Lariat only has $2500 in total incentives right now. Although I don't know if the lariat incentives go much more than that ever. Base 54,530. A plan price 48,646. Less 2,500 brings to 46,146. Just seems too high...again it's probably just me.

Lariat incentives are usually quite lacking. When I bought mine the best I could do was $2000 off or so and mine stickered for $53,500 or thereabouts. Granted the discounts on them are better now. I bought mine in early 2015.
