Headlight help!!
I purchased my ford 2016 f150 new back in 2016. It is a 2016 lariat f150 fx4 with the sport package. For some weird reason the tail lights are led and head lights are halogen. Why? I have no idea, so recently I decided to change my headlights from halogen to led. I did a google search to see what bulb size I’d need for low beam and it says H11 so I ordered H11 led low beam bulbs from Lasfit and the plug didn’t fit. The rubber housing around the prongs of the wire of the bulb was not allowing me to plug into my truck. I looked at my headlight housing which is aftermarket and it says H7 bulb size. I returned the H11 and bought H7 and it worked! I’d like to change my halogen high beam bulb to a LED bulb of the same brand too (Lasfit) but now don’t know which bulb to buy. I don’t understand why it says it’s supposed to be H11 when the wiring on my truck is for a H7 bulb. I did no changes to the headlight wiring on the the truck just changed the stock headlight housing to an aftermarket head light housing. Any one else experience this?

I changed out the headlight housing to this. The new housing has an LED strip running around it as you can see in the pic. I never changed the bulbs so I had this with the stock halogen bulbs inside till recently I changed the low beams from halogen to LED

Part of your post doesn’t make sense.
You “don’t understand why the internet search shows H11 when yours actually takes H7” ????
You changed to aftermarket housings. It’s pretty clear and simple.
You’ll need to look up what that exact after market headlamp assembly takes not what the oem one takes.
Note: leds do really poorly in those projectors meant for incandescent. You would have been better off dropping in higher end leds in your oem stock incandescent housings.

Id look up what brand they are and search exactly what they use.
They didnt fit because your headlights are aftermarket and use a ****ty halogen projector. Just because those headlights fit your truck does not mean the factory headlight bulb will fit. Whatever size the headlights are marked for is what you need for the high beams... Im guessing also an H7, because it looks like its the same ****ty halogen projector as the low beam.
