The 17 doesn't show a trailer disconnected message after you unhooked the trailer? I just realized last week that this super annoying issue went away.

Really? You just finished unhooking a trailer and you think a dash message is annoying? lol I'd rather see that just in case my plug accidentally got yanked or fell out or something. How else are you supposed to know your trailer lights don't work anymore?

Mine does. Are you using a 4 pin vs 7 pin?

I think it still does but goes away instead of staying on until you acknowledged it. On my 15, it came on even after I had shut off the truck, parked overnight.

Yeah, I unhooked it so I already know its status . It takes some effort to pull out the plug so it would be very unlikely for it to come loose by itself.

I don't mind the trailer disconnect message. What I don't like is that everytime you disconnect, the system still shows an active trailer and then have to toggle the menu to switch to "no active trailer."

I don't like that I have to play push the button to find your dash every time I start up with the trailer connected. I would think telling the truck you have trailer#2 hooked up should be enough to do everything, including making the back up system available. But that would be me thinking...

AMEN !!! That was definitely not thought out very well. Yes Ford, I do realize that there is a trailer connected to my truck - I'm the one who connected it. Tell me once that BLIS is disabled, a trailer is connected, etc. Don't tell me EVERY time I start the truck.

Yeah my 15 doesn't do that either.

And I don't have to press the ok button for the trailer disconnect message. If I start driving, the notice goes away.

I have a 16.

My cousin has a 16 as well. I'll ask him if his does the same. It's not a big deal, just be convenient though.

As for the trailer disconnect message, it'll go away after a few seconds.
