For LED headlights I settled on Headlight Revolution. Seem the most thorough in testing various manufactures bulb in housings used. Good resource even if not purchasing. Supernova V.30 for high and low bulbs. LED's use a driver to supply power and these fit inside the housing. I did fit with OEM dust covers but soon upgraded to deep covers. Install was easy thru wheel wells and I later did a headlight housing removal, either way simple. Aimed a little lower than recommended, for my use worked great, I have a 13/4 inch front lift. Very good cutoff and pattern, much better performance. 2 years no trouble and no conflicts with oncoming traffic, even checked the oncoming view myself and found no problem. I run full daytime running lights. Secrets to good LED's are design, small chipsets located according to bulb specification, compatible drivers with the OEM power switching and supply, correct positioning in the housing, fit in the housing. I would agree that HR is the way to go. I'm running Supernova PerfectFits in my Lows, Highs and Fogs. Adjusted them down, but the only issue I run into is when I get behind one of those ridiculously low-riders.

This is the way I went in my highs and lows. After a level you definitely need to adjust them down. Huge improvement over the stock halogens and I was able to fit them under the stock dust cover as well. I pulled the headlights because I couldn't reach everything easily through the fender, but YMMV.
I checked a dealership Ford parts site it showed that the stock halogen bulbs are Osram (Sylvania). Only posting this because I originally thought Ford used Philips as oem.
I installed my modded bulbs yesterday. They fit like a glove - perfect.
The hardest part was forgetting to put the rubber caps back on and having to remove the wheel well liner again.
I haven't driven it in the dark yet but of course I turned them all on and checked them out.
I haven't done the forscan mod yet that will let me turn on the fogs with the high beams.
