Default Galaxy Note10 and Android Auto

Anyone have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 working with Android Auto? Mine will run for a little while then quit. Haven't been able to find a solution. Tried 3 different cables. It's a 2017 with the latest official SYNC software. No idea if it is the phone or the truck. Makes me miss iphone 7 with apple carplay.

I have an s10 and it works fine. Previously had an s8 and ran into a ton of trouble which ended up being the phone. If you can find another ford vehicle to test your phone in, or another android phone to test your truck you can narrow it down.

My Note 9 works fine on my 2018 XLT. The only issue I have, and I'm sure it's a setting somewhere in the phone, is that text messages don't pop up on the screen when I have the phone set to vibrate and Android Auto is active. If I'm connected and just using Sync, I get them.

I just got a Samsung Note 10 plus and have had no issues. Have you tried a brand new cord as before on a Samsung 8 plus it would work for a bit than cut out on old cord.

If it's shutting down not too long after the phones screen turns off, it very well could be the phones app management to save battery. I have a s10+ and would have issues with apps getting shut down and had to allow them to run in the background.

Have you found the setting to tell the phone to not include it in the power management when it tries to conserve battery power?

There is an App power management in settings that has:
1) Adaptive battery: mine is one
2) Put Unused apps to sleep: mine is on
There is a Apps that won't be put to sleep menu, but android auto is not in the list of choices

Sometimes it shuts down within seconds after plugging in.

As stated, I've tried 3 cords, two of one brand and a third I bought just for this reason:
Amazon Amazon

My Samsung s9 disconnects from aa all the time. The phone USB c connector is super finicky. Some cables are better, but many times when i touch the phone while on aa it disconnects. Try wiggling your cable at the phone to see if this is the cause.
