Default FX4

I have the FX4 package in my 2015 V8. I just ordered my Hellwig and was reading all the posts about how lousey this truck handles. I'm wondering if someone could fill me(us) in on the FX4 specs.
Manufacturer
Spring Rates
Shock Valving

Has anyone actually replaced this system?
Are the complaints coming from the non-FX4 owners.

Mine handles pretty darn well. No bump-steer that a lot of the folks are experiencing.

I can't answer the technical questions you've asked, but I've been generally pleased with the handling of my '15 SCREW FX4 w/ 20" wheels. I never experienced any of the maladies many have reported on this forum (like the entire truck jumping sideways on rough roads), and I drive some really horrible highways and streets around DC every day. That being said, I installed a Hellwig anti-sway bar in the rear this weekend, and it did "calm" the rear end down quite a bit.

While the Hellwig may not address everyone's concerns, I've found it to be a cost-effective solution to the one handling area I thought could use some improvement.

I read those posts(handles crappy) with a grain of salt. I'm thinking much of it is driving style too.

I only have this issue occasionally on the *** end of the truck if I'm going too fast and **** gets bumpy.

I've seen the largest amount of complaints coming from the super cab guys. Less weight in the back.

I can't help thinking the FX4 handles a bit better than plain stock.

to me would have to be subjective. To stop the truck jiggles off road the dampening would have to be very heavy which should make for a harsher ride. There are ways to mitigate that but no way ford put that much thought in a 770 dollar package. Possibly handle better.

i will say my 2014 felt a lot more planted than my 2015, it didn't hop ( rear end ) over bumps both before and after the lifts ( both were fx4, and then both received bds lifts )

i was on some washboard gravel road the other day and it was terrible - so I'm looking at better susp. components

as well- harder tires/heavier tires will ride less smooth, and absorb less of the bumps you hit
