fuse 36
Having intermediate issues with my backup sensors and camera. took it to the dealer and they said that it was my "tap-a-fuse" that I'm using to power a radar detector was the problem. the resistance was interfering with the module... is this BS? and is there another switched circuit that I can use?

It could be true. Depending on what the circuit does as well how it reads it. With these CanBus circuits it is really easy to screw them up. I had a Wrangler that would say the left tail light was out when I pulled it out and looked and checked the bulb it was good. I switched out the bulb with one from my truck and both worked until I got rid of them.
You might be able to still use that fuse , but you should be using a relay and just use the Fuse 36 circuit to trigger the relay. Even better then a relay would be a solid state relay....something like this

this way it takes the power consumption off the circuit and just uses it as a trigger. If you do decide to use another circuit, id still use a relay vs powering any device straight from the OEM fuse

I don't know if the 2016 is the same as the 2018, but the wiring diagram for the 2018 says that F37 is Not Used for anything and as is switched to the ignition just like F36 is. You may be able to plug your Add a Fuse into F37 and not affect anything downstream. F22 is also switched to the ignition and is only used in the Raptor so it should be unused in a non-Raptor vehicle.

I've gotten random error messages about steering loss and hill descent control over the last few months. I have a tap-a-fuse on Fuse 36 as well (for an aftermarket front camera and DVR) and now think that may be the cause.
