hi, i will replace just the struts in my 2016 platinum for the very first time, now is around 100k miles, my concern is about the EPAS, do I need to disconnect the negative from the battery or just the EPAS connector? thanks in advance....
I dont know if Platinum models are different, but I didnt unplug my EPAS or touch any electrical connector for that matter. 18mm Sway bar end link, 8mm and 10mm brake line and wheel speed sensor brackets, and the lower control arm bolts are all that I needed to remove outside of the strut assembly itself. (LCA removal does necessitate an alignment, but other than that it's pretty darn easy).

yes, it looks easy I just want to avoid any damage to EPAS during the job.... thanks a lot!.
@Alex osorio No problem. There are a lot of video tutorials on YouTube, but most of them say to undo the upper control arm and mess about with that side. If you're going to change heights or simply plan on doing an alignment, just removing the LCA is the way to go IMO. After doing mine just once, i feel comfortable to be able to get both out in like 20 minutes.
There are a few different ways to do this job, IMO, some are good, some aren't, as far as ease goes. I've done this thing quite a few times, and feel comfy with my method.
One thing I always do is disconnect the battery, whether it really makes a difference, I can't really say. Burt for the 3 minutes it takes to do it, why not?
, Maybe some grief is avoided.
