Default Front Camera

Has anyone added a front camera for parking. I have a hard time pulling up close enough sometimes. I found this aftermarket setup and would like to know if anyone has any experience with this or factory https://www.ebay.com/itm/AX-ADDCAM-A...D/183251735342 I would like to figure a way to trigger it with something similar to the backup sensors that are for when backing in.Any ideas would be great. 2018 xlt
Thanks Mitch

I added the camera source kit that uses an OEM emblem mounted camera (better camera than oem though) and goes through a module into Sync3. The pictures on their website of the particular kit are of my truck actually - I helped do testing and instructions for a new module they began using. I love it. It comes up after going from reverse to drive or park to drive for a few seconds and then if you hold the power button. Great quality, great customer service. Only catch is that the emblem only fits certain grilles namely, not mind (xlt chrome) lol but I ended up switching to a limited grille anyway and it works on that just fine

I have an STX. Curious if I fits my grille. Thanks for the info.

Hard to explain because I'm not hope for pics or anything but the xlt grille, the emblem was JUST the blue and chrome but and the black surround was part of the grille. The camera emblem however contains the black surround - that's where the camera is. So it requires a grille that doesn't have that black surround integral. If that makes sense?

I did some research when I was testing this for them and I think we came up with a list of compatible vehicles which I also think is on their website now. In a little bit I'll find the specific kit I'm using and I'll link it here and see if it mentions STX grille

Is this the slot for the camera?

Ya know, it really looks like it, but their website does say "Not compatible with XL, STX ,and XLT "Special Edition" grilles". If the STX can ever come with a front camera than it would fit but if not, it might not work. This is the one I used though https://camera-source.com/catalog/pr...3/category/56/

Does anyone that has the factory front camera have a picture of the button to turn camera on or does it only activate with the reverse to drive. I would like to be able to turn it on manually if needed. When I first installed my 8 in gauge cluster I always had a message pop up say something about front camera not activated or something but once I programmed the cluster that went away. I am just wondering If it can be turned on somehow with the steering wheel controls if cluster is programmed correctly. My cluster is from a 18 raptor.
Thanks Mitch
