I have found this Company which sells the 3M 8 Mil pre-cut bumper kit for a 2015 F150, with "free" applicator kit for $154.93 with free shipping. Or the film for $8.75 per foot for 18" roll. If bulk the bumper is 9" on the flat and 4ft would be needed doing it in two pieces or $35 with estimated $10 shipping or $45. There is a 10% upcharge for their best film Scotchguard 3M Pro Series: http://www.invisiblemask.com/overview.htm

Not sure if it is the same issue but mine had rust pitting. I used mothers metal polish and it took it right off. I can't believe it worked. The pitting was substantial.

I have a 2017 F150 lariate and has the same problem. small paint chipping spots are expected but I am surprised by the rust. It could be a defect of the material used.

They uses recycled metal, even my untouched rear bumpers are rusted badly. Need to find an aftermarket supplier that uses better steel than the factory. Pretty sure China can do better than Ford.

Yeah, more than likely not "untouched." Rocks kick up from your rear tires and chip the backside of it. Breached coating to bare steel will rust. Period. Recycled steel or not

Yeah, painted steel bumpers have been rusting for decades. Has nothing to do with the quality of the steel.

I don't like the look of chrome as much, but it is far more durable.

Actually they could just as well use plastic, it would be lighter and more durable. And not just for rust. I have found out first hand that both the front and rear steel bumpers are way more fragile than plastic. They aren't like the ones in the old days, that's for sure. They are very easy to damage beyond repair. They may be cheaper, I suppose.

Not sure why people say this. It’s a really expensive vehicle. Doesn’t matter if it’s a truck.
