I'm very confident 99% of others will say that won't be an issue. I on the other hand connected a battery charger during the initial process of saving backup copies of all the modules.

It only took a minute to connect the battery charger - better to be safe than sorry.

I'm attempting the backup procedure and got "battery supply voltage too low. Recharge battery and try again" error.
I guess THAT'S how long.

How should I proceed? Can I hook up a trickle charger and continue or should I drive it and for how long?

UPDATE:hooked up a trickle charger and too weak(apparently). Hooked up a larger unit and it worked for 15 minutes and quit again. PITA.
My battery is like FREEKIN DEAD. My 12k mi, garage kept truck has a dead battery? Weird. There's nothing running that I can see/hear. It's a 6 amp charger and it's pushing 4 amps. That's really weak.

I guess I'll have to leave it over night and try tomorrow. ; (

On the PLUS side, I got my ICON 2.5 coils. HOLY CRAP! Those things are MONSTERS! Weight like 30# each.

Can't answer any of your questions but that is the exact scenario I didn't want to be in - hence the battery charger.

Be glad that didn't happen when writing to a module.

Funny enough I usually do use a battery charger (Small trickle charger), one time I wasn't paying attention and my daytime running lights were on and while writing a modules a low battery warning popped up, turned off lights, let charge back up a bit, and everything was still fine.

Thank you.
Too bad it doesn't unfold on ignition start. I know it takes a few seconds, however, I usually start the truck before I put the seat belt on. By the time I'm ready to go, the mirrors would be open.

Another option for Sync 2 as long as you don't have the 360 camera is Lockpick. Details here: http://www.coastaletech.com/f150lockpick.htm

It does if you turn on the ignition before you close the door

Someone on another forum claims it doesn't work but I know some here have bought the same (looking) one from the U.S. link and report it works fine. Anyways, if you have bought it from that link, please report if it's working.
I am leery of sellers who do not tell you what version of ELM327 the unit is running or they say version 1.5. Version 1.5 is a fake. Some of these units work and some only work partially.
