Edit: Trying to change from Canadian to US

I tried changing 7D0-02-01 to 5553 0103 80E2, but it didn't change anything. Am I missing something?

On the bright side, disabled my DRLs (Canadian truck now in California) and disabled the powerpoint timeout. Also, pretty cool you can turn the climate controls on for an XLT, even if some of the functions don't work.

What exactly are you hoping to achieve? The ability to install apps?

The ability to install apps, but mainly to be able to do the vehicle health report.

Neither of these are a necessity, but I know someone (I think around page #34 of this thread) was able to change it so he had these features. If it can be done I would like to do it.

So with your current settings you don't even have an apps screen? If so, pm me you VIN so I can test it. I just set my 7D0-01-02 & 7D0-02-01 values same as yours and I still have Apps screen and it successfully pulled apps from my phone so either this ability is hanging out in another address or what I'm seeing on Sync 3 is different than your Sync 2. The Vehicle Health report doesn't work with Sync 3 with the Ford Owner app so I'll only be able to test this to the point of apps on screen and working.

I didn't think there were any actual apps for Sync 2? I looked into it, but never found any apps available so it seemed like a completely useless feature.

As stated in the post above, Sync 2 doesn't really have any useful apps like Sync 3 does. When I was testing to see if the settings changed I was seeing if Vehicle Health Report was there or not. So that might complicate things. I do know for a fact the reason VHR doesn't work is because it is a Canadian truck. Meaning testing the VHR should determine if the change worked or not.

Ahh ok, just watched a video on it. Since I can't test it, I can only look at U.S. APIM values and compare to yours. Maybe try the following (that is a U.S. XLT value) and see if this works? In the video I watched it showed entering your info online including your VIN and getting an email report so I'm not sure if putting in your VIN there is preventing it?

Could be, but I know this has been done before. I swear someone in this thread did it, I'll have to look through the thread again tonight. I know a member "Chad Walker" did this on his 2013, but I know the 2015+ are different.

I'll try that value when I get home and see what it does and report back.

i had a 2015 with sync 2 nav screen and i switched it from Canada to USA and it showed up travel link and health report.
