Everything worked as it should and I was able to make backups of all the as built modules. I even tried making a single change for my led headlights to hopefully stop the occasional flicker (726-26-02 xxxx xxx0 xxxx). I wrote and disconnected from the obd2 in forscan and everything seems fine.
the issue I have now is when I plug the obd2 adapter into my laptop it doesn’t recognize it anymore. I got a brief message from windows about not being enough power on the USB port for the device but I cannot get it to connect anymore. Any suggestions?

thanks in advance
check the drivers, windows 10 installs it's own once in a while and my elm doesn't work after that either. I downloaded proper drivers for my elm and install them manually.

Drivers should be shosen depending on the chip inside an ELM.
For example, I bought mine over 5 years ago and at the time Prolific chip was one of the best chips available, so I bought Prolific based ELM. Later on, when I faced same problem I downloaded divers for Prolific chip, installed it and it was working again. And still, I have to reinstall it manually once in a while after Windows 10 replaces it with something else.
Usually, internet shops write in the description the chip type inside an ELM.

Damn, I have Windows10 now, and since on my old computer (now in the trash can) I didn't need any drivers, I think I threw away the little (3") disc that came with the adapter, since I can't find it, so I don't have a way to download any drivers anymore. If my computer doesn't recognize the USB adapter, is it possible to download them from the internet? I haven't tried to mess with FORScan with the new computer, but downloaded the software, and downloaded the 'key' (which probably expired already), and at least on the computer, it worked fine. Is it possible that my adapter might work, or since I have Windows 10, am I going to have that driver issue for sure? Thx.

I have a 2017 XLT 5.0. I recently had a 2018 for a loaner and it remembered the heated seats being on after key cycle. Mine actually times out after a while and does not remember if it was on after restarting. Is there a way to make the seats recall last setting and not time out?

You have to redo whatever changes you made on the BCM module. I have those 2, plus double-press panic alarm, and global window open/close. I'll do the recall myself one of these days, but at least on my truck, the DRLs are not bright enough in manual mode to bother anybody. And at least we know that in auto mode, they're like they supposed to be, so problem solved that way .

I just upgraded from a '15 to a '19 and thought something was wrong because the seats stayed on....I prefer they reset on ignition cycle, but haven't found a way to do it yet.

Yeah, the cooling function is also remembered. I don't like that. This stupid truck doesn't remember what it needs to (drive mode, for instance), and remembers what we don't want to. Ha ha. I don't know there is any way to reverse that, but if it is, it'd be awesome .

It's been my experience with Win10 that I haven't had to manually download and install any drivers for external devices. On the remote chance you need to, you should be able to find them online with a little Googling. PM me if you need help; send pix of the adapter and any identifying info with the PM.

Default Grandpa's 2015 having issues

My grandpa bought a used 2015 a couple years ago and started having some issues. He only got one key from the dealer, and broke the metal part off in the ignition. He was able to get it out, but the key is in two pieces

They cut him a new key and it somehow (by his hand or someone else's) become a mykey so his speed is limited under 80, etc. I want to confirm that I should be able to disable it in the IPC doing the following:
AllBoostNoEco

"From what I can find, it's line 720-02-01

**** *X** ****.0, 1, 2, 3 all disable MyKey Feature Support

**** **X* **** either 0 or 2 disable MyKey Speed Limit and Volume Limit (O is listed as 'disable', 2 is listed as 'US disable')

And a possibly separate or connected to the problem, his cruise control is having issues. He's able to set it, but once he exceeds 40mph, the cruise control shuts off(the icon is still visible in the cluster, but it's clear/off/'not set') and he gets a message on the cluster as well.

Not sure what the message says, I'm looking at it for him for the first time tomorrow. Confirmation on the disabling of the MyKey? Also, any ideas on what could be the issue with Cruise and if I can fix it with ForScan? All I know is about to enable/disable RS, and I'm pretty sure it's going to be enabled since he's able to use it for a little bit

He also does not have a passing gear, but I feel that may be related to the MyKey. Please correct me if I'm wrong
