FORScan - software to enable/disable features in your truck
Senior Member
I did a search of the thread for the word recover and did not find what I was looking for. I am having some issues with my lights (led fogs are flickering and my autolamps always turn the headlights on) and need to bring the truck in for service. However, I broke my laptop and was unable to recover the as built files. I have a couple of questions;
- Is there a way to recover my as built files?
- Will the dealer just reapply them when I go in for service?
- Will the dealer even notice?

Which I hope that means that "battery output" can be manually turned on (to be triggered by ignition) somehow, maybe via FORScan. Not everyone has the right kind of trailer that module is looking to see, before it gives you 12V charging battery output. My research (and I've personally tested it) shows that all the rest of the trailer connector wires (turn signals, brake lights, reverse, etc.) work fine without any "smart" intervention, right out of the truck side plug.

*** Nevermind - this is a lock confirm honk times 2, not a double honk for leaving the keys and opening the door while engine running ***
Double Horn Honk disable says to set the 4th digit in the first set to "0" like this:
BCM 726-41-02 xxx0 xxxx xxxx
Got my adapter setup and when I checked it out it was already a 0. It was the second digit that was a 1 and the rest were 0s already (0100 xxxx xxxx) so there's nothing for me to change. I have the remote start add on and it definitely still double honks when I start it.
Anyone else have this issue with their 2017 Canadian base XLT? Is this double honk setting for when you get out with the engine running?

"Front fog circuit with turn" I presume is the factory default and you set the * value at 0 for that function.
For "Fog light as switchback" you set the * value at 1
finally did this today. said something like invalid checksum. tried anyway and seems tobe working for the 35psi. might have to let the air out of a tire and see when it comes on. running 38 right now, before it would throw the light at 47
Check sum error will show up on 90% of your writes. Just click ok

I may have over exaggerated that last one a bit. I dont recall the exact stock temps but you can easily hook up ForScan and convert the HEX to ASCII for the exact temperatures using google or rapid tables.
