i dropped my key and it kinda popped open and unseated the battery. i had to place the key into the slot where you place the key if its dead. i was able to start the truck and put it in gear. i have secure idle also.

I am planning on going tailgating at a Notre Dame game this weekend. I am going to adjust the power time out settings on outlet inside the cab.

How much power can I run off this? Can I run a crock pot off of this? Can I run multiple items off of it without hurting anything?

Also how long can I run it before I have to worry about the battery going dead?

The Owner's manual details how much power you can draw from the power points but if you have BMS enabled the truck will shut them down when it thinks it'll put the battery too low to start. I'd keep an eye on anything plugged in so you don't have any uncooked food cause the whole powerpoint system is spotty at best.

Thanks

so I need to enable the BMS and then also determine how long I want the timeout to be on the "powerpoint timeout"?

I am going to test this out and actually hook the crock pot and the speaker up and try it before I head to the game

Havent read through this whole post, and didnt want to start another for a lighting question....

I have switchbacks installed in the stock XLT lights.... I have them run white for daytime running lights instead of the main low headlights. when i use the blinker they turn to amber.

1) is there a way to disable the daytime running lights when the main headlights are on, operational?
2) can the lights not come on when the doors are opened (fishing at night). I want to disable the middle lights where the blinker/daytime lights are.

Thanks

Are you calling the power point the 110 volt outlet or the 12 volt outlets.

BMS is enabled already. Even if you make changes to the power point times, they will shut off because of the BMS. The BMS is trying to keep you from killing the battery to the point the truck will not start.
I think you are better off buying a small portable generator from the sounds of it.
It may all work when you plug it in, but for how long. You may end up running your truck to keep the power on.

Running a heating device like a crockpot from an inverter is going to be a lot of draw; inverters are inherently low-efficiency, and I suspect he's right—you'd end up running your engine to keep enough juice flowing.

The simple and cheap solution would probably be a Coleman (or similar) two-burner camp stove, a large pot, and some propane, but we're starting to drift a bit from the thread subject.

I have a question concerning removing the SIRIUS option from the radio (Sony Sync 2/MFT w/factory nav). I have cancelled the audio service, but I need to retain the travel services (traffic, etc.) as I am still on the 5 year free trial. I like those services!!

Q: If I disable the button on the radio, will it also disable Travel Link or is it the selection button only?

(I saw references to losing Travel Link with a mod to enable some prohibited actions while driving and just wanted to make sure that removing the button from audio sources would not impact Travel Link.)

Thanks in advance.

This will probably get buried but I made another walkthrough video to help some people out. Thought I should share here too:
