Default Forscan master code

Is there a way to find out what the keyless master code is for a vehicle with Forscan?

No, but if you have two master keys, you can. The directions are different for XL/XLT vs Lariat and above. Which do you have?

For XL/XLT, put a key in the ignition and turn it on, but do not start it. Turn it off and remove the key. Put the second key in the ignition and turn it on, but do not start it. The code will display on the dash.

For Lariat and above, put the first key in the emergency start location, press the start button without pressing the brake. Press the start button again. Switch keys, then press the start button without pressing the brake. The code will display on the dash.

This is awesome... I'm going to have to try this on my 2015 XLT.

Yes you can pull the master keycode with forscan. The pids start with KEYCODE and each digit of the pin is a different pid. So first could be read on KEYCODE_1stD and so on.

Your service dept should be able to give you the default code using your VIN. Also the default code is on a card in your owner's manual

Isn't the code hidden under or around the glove box somewhere too?

I've read that it was on the back of the fuse box by the passenger's knee. However, that would require removing the fuse box from the wall.

I don't know if that is true.

What is interesting is....with both my 2013 and 2019 F150s...I checked the keypad code displayed on the dash by the key sequence stated above. And although the the button sequence was the same...the keycode number was not the same as the card that came with the owner's manual. In other words....both keycode numbers worked...but they were not the same numbers....just the same button sequence. I found that interesting.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but, when you press the 3/4 button, the truck does not know, or care, if you are pressing 3 or pressing 4. The only thing that matters is, that particular key was pressed. So,
1111
1112
1121
1122
1211
1212
1221
1222
2111
2112
2121
2122
2211
2212
2221
2222
are all exactly the same code. As a matter of fact, there are exactly 16 ways to express a given 4 digit keypress using this keypad.
