Fordpass - Deep Sleep Mode

I know what it is.
It’s because the battery drops below 9.5V, cold weather conditions or has not been used in 14 days. If you click the notification or go into messages, you will see the reasons why. Thanks.

it says absolutely nothing about cold weather. the thing that stirred me up is that it goes into the mode even though it started...

I don't imagine most people are surprised that cranking your engine over in low temps causes the battery to struggle.
This would, obviously, trigger a low battery warning sensor.

The performance of all batteries drops drastically at low temperatures; however, the elevated internal resistance will cause some warming effect because of efficiency loss during use. At –20°C (–4°F) most batteries are at about 50 percent performance level.

Methinks they have some bugs to iron out with this app..

Twice in the last two days it came back with a message that the vehicle did not start, when in fact, it did. I'll attribute it to the extreme cold, but will see what happens as it's warming up after today.

Sounds like there are programming bugs on the vehicle end that need to be ironed out, rather than telling us that this is "normal behavior".
