Ford Representative
I have a Ford product that was repaired by a certified Ford Dealer with Ford parts. I really do not think it matters how old or how many miles. Something is not right here. Just pretend this situation happened to you.
I think it comes down to human error on this repair, all it takes is for one bearing to be dropped or installed wrong and then its failure becomes inevitable. Ford does have a goodwill program but it only goes for 7 years / 100k miles from new vehicle warranty start date
Ford has bigger issues in front of them on trucks with warranties. In my opinion and pretending this was me, I believe a zero chance of any support or help from Ford.
Well, I guess if this is how their dealers repair vehicles, even ones under warranty, I can see why you would say they have bigger problems. I didn't want to get into a back and forth with someone I have never met, I was only looking to see if there was a Ford rep still here and what they had to say about this. I respect your opinion and will move on. On a lighter note, I appreciate the quick replies from everyone, and I really like the information I get from this forum. Keep up the good work!

Good luck!
You are new here so you dont know the history of FMC and how they treat consumers. Additionally, Ford will quickly tell you that the dealership is a separately owned franchise and they cannot make them do anything. Just the facts learned by being on this forum. I was not looking to fight you or make you feel bad, just trying to let you know based on my participation here what could possibly happen to you. As one other has stated, in the 2 times there has been a "Ford Rep" here, we have had no one return and say what a great job they did in helping with the problem they were having. Ford use to be a company that would help folks. They even had monies dedicated to dealers for good faith assistance on stuff like this.
Good luck!

I would reach out to the dealership where the work was performed. Typically the dealer will warranty their work for a certain amount of time and miles. If you are beyond the time and mileage of their warranty for the work, you are out of luck I'm afraid. At 165,000 miles on the truck, Ford itself isn't going to do anything for you either. As others have stated, Ford doesn't make dealerships do anything. It doesn't own them. They are all franchises.
I have reached out to both dealers, and both have said the same thing, past mileage and time for warranty. Both also stated that Ford has the "good faith assistance" but most likely will not help in this case due to age and mileage. Fortunately, I was able to rebuild both diffs for less than the price of what the dealer charged for just doing one. Thanks for the info.
lol...the possibility of that "Ford Representative" actually BEING a Ford representative is slim and none. I likened him/her to the posers who pretend to be cops, getting their jollies off over some sense of "power" or authority...
I had inquired and the folks (forum folks) here said they were verified legit.
