Default Ford Blue Advantage Certified w/ Bad Transmissiion

I picked up my 2019 Ford Blue Advantage Certified CrewCab with 63k on May 14th 2026, transmission was shifting rough, and I noticed a slipping feeling when taking off. Brought it in on June 1st and they tell me the transmission needs an overhaul? How could this have been Blue Advantage Certified? At this point I do not want the truck at all, feel like I’m going to have trans issues again down the road if not repaired properly. I even specifically looked for a lower mileage Ford Certified Used to avoid this.

"We certify that it's broke. Buy it and THEN we'll fix it." That's how.

Ya, I’m pretty sure that’s their angle.

Certificatipn requires an inspection. Everything must function, no leaks, pass a drive test etc. and there is a fee. I would guess you did someting similar when you bought it.
But, the previous owner traded it for a reason. Now, the transmission needs repair.
Get it fixed and move on. It is a 2019, 7 years old. 2019 transmissios had their issues. Things break and they are absolutely repairable.

So a $7,000 + 'certified' fix is nothing more than a "Suck it up" and move on? Maybe so on the planet you come from....

Did it come with a warranty? Excuse my ignorance if this should be known...

A silver lining, if that trans hasn't been worked on it before, it will have the old CDF cylinder in it. If they overhaul it for you, you will get the new designed one which is significantly better. You'll essentially have a new transmission in your truck minus the case. Seems like a plus to me.

You get a 90 day/ 4,000 mile warranty with Blue Certified vehicles.

Not what I said sir.

"Blue Certied" means what they said when he bought it (90 days/4,000 miles), I merely said it had to be inspected to be certified. I also said the buyer would/should inspect it as well. I also said the previous owner likely traded it for a reason.
Anyone on this forum knows about CDF drum issues and now the transmission has failed. Fix it/don't fix it, the choices are limited.
Due to the mileage at purchase time a warrantee was likely available but that is all water under the bridge. "Certified" is an inspection process but won't prevent a failure. Read what you want into what I said on your own planet.
Apparently too much time or too many miles for a low cost fix, though the OP left a few gaps in his story.
