Default First wax?

Which wax are you guys using(yes, almost as bad as an oil thread)?
I've had my '19 since May, it's black, and needs waxed.
I don't want to pay to have it done, or get it back full of swirls and scratches.
This is my first new truck, and I'de like to keep it looking good.
I see alot of clean and shiny trucks here that still look new, and thought I'de ask for recommendations or advice.
Thanks for any help.

I've been using Chemical Guys for my current truck. Butter Wet Wax (liquid wax, not a paste) specifically. Have also used Meguiars Gold Class paste wax for years prior, but its easier/faster for me to apply liquid wax with my DA orbital polisher. Adam Polishes also makes good products.

I've got white, but I just started using the Chemical Guys Jet Seal and love it. Gives the white a deeper shine. They've also got products specifically for black, which may be just marketing. Reflection picture to show the shine, truck is Oxford White and Caribou. For avoiding swirls, the biggest thing is making sure the truck is absolutely clean and that your pad/applicator/wipe off towel are free of grit.

Thanks guys, I'm going to the parts store later today to get something.
I like Mequiers too, and use their leather conditioner in my truck, and have used their spray wax on other vehicles.
I'll look for Aerolon and Chemical Guys too.

Yeah, that looks great, and 2 for Chemical Guys.
I've used black specific sprays and waxes on other black vehicles before too, but don't really like them.
The liquid or compound itself is black, and seems like more of a stain.

Who here can I pay to wax mine, lol?

Something that is worth a look is Turtle Wax Ice Spray Wax. I know, Turtle Wax doesn't have the sexy brand name but it works really good, super easy to use, cheap, and you can get it at your local auto parts store. I use it on my wife's black '14 explorer that has been totally abused by automatic car washes and it looks pretty good. I use it on my '18 platinum white F150 and it looks great. Application is easy and fast. I use two microfiber cloths, one to put it on, one to take it off. Whole truck can be done in less than 20 minutes. Two coats = more shine. Believe me, this stuff is good.

I like Collinite 845. If you want a deeper gloss, you can do a carnauba over it. The stuff lasts forever!

Highly recommend you clay first - you'll be surprised of what you pull off the paint. Just because it's "new", they all have issues.
