Hmmm....looks like it could be buffed out. If not, I recommend Dr. ColorChip.

I'll top that one. I've had my touch since the middle of February 2016 and I went to a local coffee shop and came out to this hit and run. Only minor damage, but it cost my insurance company $2744.

$2,744? Wow. That's a lot.

Unfortunately, I've had something similar happen. But it wasn't to my new F150, thankfully.

Murphys Law....I had my truck maybe 3 hours and when I was putting my tonneau cover on I left a 1/2" drive ratchet on the bumper. When I put the tailgate down I forgot about it and put a nice little dent in the tailgate...3 hours old and less then a 100 miles on it...Well now that we got that out of the way.

Don't feel bad. Almost identical thing happened to me! I was installing my backup cam, and wanted to lower the spare tire so I could get better access to run the wiring harness...I removed the lock for the spare tire and sat it on the bumper. A few moments later I opened the tailgate, and well...you guessed it. Nice little tailgate ding.

Since my truck was black that little indention stuck out like a sore thumb. I took it to a paintless repair place and think they did a great job. If I look hard enough I can still find it, but its not noticeable any more.
