The Safelite guy that showed up to change the windshield on my 2016 had an aftermarket one that did not say Ford at the top. Wonder if it was for a different truck all together.

About a month ago I had to have mine replaced. I requested a Ford logo Glass. Since it was on insurance. only had to pay my deductible. its full ford glass done at a local replacement shop. full P/N everything. cannot tell its not original except its not cracked.

Well the crack is about halfway up the window now and the truck is back safe in the garage. The safelite guy shows up Tues Morning and if he shows up with something other that what I ordered I will send them on his way and contact USAA. I'm in no rush at all. I would rather be happy than just accept whatever.

If all goes well I will post pics.

Also If this goes well it will be a plus I try to avoid ford dealers from now on out!!! (If Possible)

It's been a while.

Well Safelite has now brought the wrong windshield twice. They are coming again this morning. They keep bringing one that does not have the clear area for that camera and rain sensor. I did not even know I had that lane departure I have never used it. Probably never will...

I'm willing to bet if you go to the Ford Dealer they will call one of the glass co's. to come and replace the glass. I doubt they would do it themselves. Better ask first.

Probably... I would try to stay away from the dealer anyway.

So they got the windshield in and it looks great. It's a OEM Ford SoundScreen. I took off the built in ford sticker and probably gonna throw it away I like the windshield without it...

I have that camera in the windshield for I guess lane departure and they said I can bring it into safelite and they will align for free but I don't use it and really have no idea how to turn it on so not gonna worry about it.

Our ford dealer here when a windsheild is replaced under warranty, they call a glass shop out and use a OEM glass.
