Well I know this will get under some people’s skin. Know it’s not just because or to even be a jerk so relax. I didn’t want the horns mounted under the truck or exposed to the **** New York weather. So this is what I did.
I have all the hardware installed I just need to wire everything excuse the mess I just snapped pics before cleaning up
So its only really effective to the people behind you?
It should also do a reasonably decent job of wrecking the eardrums of anyone in the back. At least, until the clamps vibrate loose and dump the trumpets in a pile.

Clamps can’t vibrate loose all bolts are secured with lock nut and washer not to mention loctite

at 147.7 decibels favoring back or front it’s still plenty effective
I really appreciate the concern you both have though . Lol

You probably could mount the horns inside the box, cut holes for the trumpet bells to stick out. Then they would be very secure and no one would know what those funny holes in your box are...until it's too late.
I had air horns on my last truck. 22" & 24" horns mounted inside the front ARB Bull Bar (no winch). Still plenty loud and well protected.
you got 2 questions/comments and you feel the need to insult the whole forum?
the horns facing to the rear I would’ve asked the same thing...you can actually aim and direct sound so it’s not a crazy question.
not my cup of tea due to the decibel level and the use of bed space but I still find what other people do interesting and like to read about mods...
You failed to notice his user name. Duh.
Full disclose: He knows it's not for all people and he doesn't mean to be a jerk.
For the record, there is nothing wrong with randomly blaring out 147.7 decibels. I mean it's not like we can put the windows up when a train is coming to limit the noise exposure either. come on now! I wish I could be around that truck when the horn blows. I bet it would be fun (if I ever got my hearing back).
Last part of my comment was more of a if the shoe fits wear it. Not a blanket statement. Sorry if it came off that way.
as for bed space a 5 1/2 bed don’t haul much anyways. Most things I use my truck for materials and stuff get put on a trailer to suit the job. Usually just put my dogs back there and small stuff.
I get that sound can be directed. But with the active shutters on the EB there is no room behind the grill.
look up HornBlasters guys in pavement princesses mount them in the spare tire location. And as some one mentioned 147.7 decibels it doesn’t matter to much where they are pointed. You’ll hear it.

I think it's cool and appreciate the originality of your install. But what're your thoughts on install the trumpets in the box? That would be pretty cool.
