I like to see mods. Whether I would do that same type of mod myself, does not really matter. Gonna be loud. Cool. Maybe too loud.. may not as cool but I like the idea and the work into doing it.

Where did you wire the power from? What insulation did you use to get it there, etc.. It's still cool to understand the how, regardless if I would do same to mine.

I have a colleague that drives a Tundra and has made it into an "art vehicle". This is the fourth vehicle she's done it to. When I got this truck she asked me if I wanted to do the same to mine. I said "Your Tundra is interesting with the full size skeleton in the passenger seat and all the rats glued to the hood and all the other things things attached to your truck but that will never happen to my truck. EVER!"

@Dave__the_ss those horns in the back are an interesting install. I'm sure you are a good guy and don't want to be a jerk, but when you install air horns and let them rip I would imagine people are going to be a bit irritated by them and think that you are indeed a jerk...and they would be right.

Meh, seems like a waste of space, time and money. Is there a need for loud horns in your area? I admit it, I had an airhorn in my truck when I was 16, but it was aimed forward and didn't use up a bunch of space. Not my cup of tea and not my money, but I think you'll regret it in a short time.

Put them in the cab facing your ears like tweeters. They will sound awesome that way.

From a sound man that uses his ears to make a living. Please don't blow those things close to people. What seems like a harmless prank like this could end a career, I almost ended up with permanent ear damage from a jerkoff hitting his air horns in a parking garage just after I got out of my car. I wasn't able to work for a little over a month because I couldn't be around live music without horrible pain and ringing. So please, stop for a split sec and think about it before you go trying to scare people.

Lmao it’s funny how many people are so salty over this. When I even said I’m not using this to be a jerk to people. Does no one read? 😂🤣

alot of people on this forum are so quick to be a douche when they don’t like something.

im actually using this on the farm and at times for work. But I doubt people will even read this and continue to just jump to conclusions.

i didn’t post this thread for approval by anyone. I have seen so many threads about horn installs and they all end and get crapped up with people being a-holes.
the forum is to provide knowledge to those that seek it. That’s all I was doing was trying to put a thread for those that do have questions to be able to have them answered.

so I will be asking mods to delete all of the negative comments. As they are not necessary to have in my thread.

if someone has a legitimate question i have no problem answering. But posting just to be a douche isn’t needed.

sorry I don’t live in the city. I have 2 kids and 2 labs. The labs enjoy riding in the bed. And it’s illegal to tie your kids into the bed of the truck and drive around lol.
Even though the kids do enjoy riding in the bed at times

i ran grounds out one side of the bed through a bed lighting hole as to avoid drilling more holes. Mounted grounds to frame.

power I ran out the passenger side bed through an existing hole also. I fished main power (to battery 10ga wire) , positive to valve (going to momentary switch) , and power to the pressure switch all through the frame rail with a coat hanger.
loomed all the wires together.
came out by the passenger suspension.
zip tied the loomed wire to another bundle and ran it to the engine bay

your first sentence admits you knew you’d get negative posts yet you posted anyways.

i read where you said you weren’t gonna be a jerk using it so I’ll bite since I grew up on a farm...how is a train horn used on a farm.

asking the mods to delete negative comments? You seem to lack the required skin thickness to be on the internet. Keep the negative comments and be the bigger person and ignore them and press on doing what you want to do with your truck and don’t pay no mind to anyone you don’t want.
