I have a '16 XLT Special Edition, and spent $4.99 on red pin striping... My first time trying it, but it looks decent in my opinion. I watched a couple youtube videos.

I ended up with the Deezee tailgate dampener because when the truck was on its second day in the driveway my son decided to open the tailgate and gave himself a good bump on the forehead.

The Deezee one was available same day from Amazon Prime, so I had it later that day and installed right away. Installation was simple, and I don't care that you can see it while the tailgate is open, and functionally it has been great.

If you look around, you can get the OEM Ford tailgate damper kit for a great price.

I have a question? How old are you?

The reason that i`m asking is because you said you traded in your WRX after ten years,so I was wondering if something told you it`s time to change the type of vehicle that you drive.

I used to drive only Mustangs and when I turned 39, something told me it was time to change and i`ve been in F150`s for 10 years now and I don`t regreat it.

I apologize for the slight hijacking of your thread but I just thought the change after 10 yrs of the WRX was interesting.

Have a great day.
I'll be 32 this summer. Currently have one kid, wife is pregnant with number 2. The car was just too damn small and I've been wanting a pickup for a few years now.

I ordered the OEM damper earlier today. Hopefully those torx screws aren't too difficult. It was 33 total. Free shipping from sunriseford.com

I also concur my truck is 302 with no dampner.

That doesn't look bad at all. In fact I think it looks better. Not sure why Ford did the Lariat like that and not the XLT.

I already took the sport 4X4 stickers off the sides. Took the dealer sticker off the tail gate. Next up is the Ecoboost emblems on the front doors.

I was a little bummed when I found the Lariat Special Edition had the Red accent, but for $4.99 and a few beers I have something similar. No, it's not perfect, but it's OK for me.

Yes, each piece separately. That's the shock and the tail gate latch piece, whatever it's called lol.
